Asha Programs
Explore
Explore program implemented through the Asha trainers represents our scale initiative. They provide a basic introduction to CS, AI and career options to students in classes 6 to 9. Each trainer introduces these topics to about 2000 students in 20 schools for 3 to 6 hours a year. While we cannot provide the full support offered under our Primary and Middle School programmes to all schools, Explore program also paves the way to engage these schools by giving them access to Asha's scalable initiatives and guiding them in using them effectively. This includes the Asha Kanini platform, which supports teaching across all subjects, and access to our Computer Science curriculum. Explore directly paved the way for the ACE program.
Today, the Explore programme reaches over 550 schools across five districts in Tamil Nadu. Students participate in five engaging one-hour Computer Science activities that introduce them to different areas of Computer Science. Originally focused on programming, the programme has since expanded to include Digital Literacy, with activities carefully chosen to teach key Computer Science concepts in an engaging and enjoyable way.

Artificial Intelligence Activities
Through fun, interactive activities, students are introduced to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The activities encourage students to explore how AI works, understand its real-world applications, and experience how intelligent systems can recognize patterns, make predictions and solve problems. Explore the Artificial Intelligence Activities here. Like with DL activities, the goal is not to just help them use a handful of specific tools but to gain understanding of the capabilities of AI and its limitations, the problems we need to be aware of when using AI like bias, hallucinations, ownership and responsibility etc.
