    Student should know the windows explorer icon is the same as This PC icon.


  • Purpose

    Students learn the operating system, types of OS and task manager window.

Exercise

Exercise 1: How does the operating system control all the devices and applications? What is clipboard? Define the use of clipboard.

Exercise 2: How much memory is used by open office, Window explorer, google chrome and find the CPU usage for all apps you are using.

See the task manager window to find the memory usage and CPU usage.

  • Teacher instruction
  • 1.Teacher should note that more than one application is open at the same time.
  • 2.Teacher should motivate the children to give the answer orally (colloquial tamil) for usage of clipboard.
  • 3.All the teachers have smart phones so the teacher should show the folders and apps in cellphones like computers.
  • 4.Teacher should teach how to open task manager window. (Ctrl+Alt+ Del, Ctrl+Shift+Esc, Right click on the task bar and select the task manger window).
